Dr. Franklin Luke

Doctor of Chiropractic

In a football game while still in high school, Dr. Luke suffered an injury that caused him to have difficulty rotaing his neck. He developed headaches, nausea and vomiting. A family friend recommended that Dr. Luke seek chiropractic care. Not only did chiropractic care heal his injury, Dr. Luke was able to participate and play on his football team once again.

Later, Dr. Luke served in the US Marine Corps for five years. He completed overseas assignments in Bosnia and Sierra Leone. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Always wanting to be a doctor from his high school days, he applied to the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated cum laude in 2005. While in school, an extra focus was placed on wellness and lifestyle factors in order to care for his patients' many diverse needs.

After graduation, he worked with Dr. Chadwick Hawk at the Virginia Institute of Chiropractic in Charlottesville, Virginia. He worked for this practice until opening River City Chiropractic in 2007.

Dr. Andrew Shepherd

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Andrew Shepherd was born and raised in Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech.  After graduation, he returned to Richmond to start his career.  Shortly after moving back, Dr. Shepherd was in a major motor vehicle accident.  Seeking an alternative to pain medication, he sought out a chiropractor to see what could be done to help him recover.  After a couple months of care, his back, neck, and rib pain had been drastically reduced.  He was also no longer experiencing the brain fog and headaches that had been holding him back from living the life he had always dreamed of.

Discovering the power of chiropractic care was life changing and he wanted to share it with as many people as possible so he decided to enroll at Life Chiropractic College West in California.  After graduating from Life West, Dr. Shepherd moved back to Virginia to help the Richmond community live a happier and healthier life through chiropractic care.  He is passionate about helping people live their best lives by transforming their health through chiropractic.
