Lauren Courain Luke is the Office Manager at River City Chiropractic. Her duties include Human Resources, Staff Management, Special Events, and Marketing.
Before working at River City Chiropractic, Lauren worked as an English Teacher, a School Librarian, and Business Reference Librarian. She has worked overseas in England, Ireland, and Vietnam. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Public Relations, a Masters in Teaching, and a Masters in Library Science.
Lauren and Dr. Luke have two young daughters, who also desire to work for the family business one day! Lauren is passionate about helping others and making a difference in the community.
Marketing Chiropractic Assistant
Tyra Hazelhoff-Mitchell is the Marketing Chiropractic Assistant for River City Chiropractic. She is responsible for promoting events, creating advertisements and assisting Dr. Luke with patients. She is also responsible for building and managing the company's social media profiles and developing promotional materials for advertising campaigns.
She is currently attending Virginia Commonwealth University where she is earning her Bachelors of Science Degree with a concentration in Health Sciences. She wants to become a Radiologist Technologist. She enjoys trying new and exciting things to help mark things off of her bucket list. Some of the tasks she has completed so far are visiting Niagara Falls, White Water Rafting, Tango Dancing and has even gone Skydiving!
Therapy Chiropractic Assistant
Vanessa is the Therapy Chiropractic Assistant for River City Chiropractic. She is responsible for handling front office reception, administration duties, and assisting in patient care. She has also earned her Personal Training Certification at the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She creates customized exercise programs to improve posture, range of motion and overall functionality of the body. She is currently attending the Lotus School of Integrated Professions to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. She has found her passion for health and fitness through her own journey, which began 4 years ago when she lost 50lbs. This lifestyle change inspired her to help others reach their optimum health. In her free time, she loves to read, camp, and play with her two dogs, Lia and Sadie.
Certified Massage Therapist
Samantha Young has been a Virginia Board of Nursing Certified Massage Therapist since 2008. She graduated from the American Institute of Massage located in Richmond, VA. After completing massage school, Samantha completed an internship in Houston, TX where she received additional training in Doula Care, Pre-natal Massage, Post-partum Massage, Infant Massage instruction, and Childbirth Education. Samantha is very passionate about the healing arts and believes in the power of allowing the body to heal itself through complementary alternative therapies. She currently specializes in a variety of modalities including: Swedish relaxation and deep tissue massage, which she believes goes hand in hand with Chiropractic Care. Massage in conjunction with Chiropractic helps to reduce muscle sprains and strains, and complements the effectiveness of Chiropractic Care.
