DR. FRANKLIN LUKEDoctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Luke served in the US Marine Corps for five years. He completed overseas assignments in Bosnia and Sierra Leone. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Always wanting to be a doctor from his high school days, he applied to the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated cum laude in 2005. While in school, an extra focus was placed on wellness and lifestyle factors in order to care for his patients’ many diverse needs.
After graduation, he worked with Dr. Chadwick Hawk at the Virginia Institute of Chiropractic in Charlottesville, Virginia. He worked for this practice until opening River City Chiropractic in 2007.
DR. ANDREW SHEPHERDDoctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Andrew Shepherd was born and raised in Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech. After a major car accident, Dr. Shepherd discovered the power of chiropractic care – it did what his medical doctors were unable to do: address the root cause of his symptoms and alleviate fog, pain, and fatigue. It was life changing and he wanted to share it with as many people as possible so he decided to enroll at Life Chiropractic College West in California. After graduating from Life West, Dr. Shepherd moved back to Virginia to help the Richmond community live a happier and healthier life through chiropractic care. He is passionate about helping people live their best lives by transforming their health through chiropractic.
Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. And while we generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, our commitment is two-fold:
1. Relief Care for Richmond
You’ll be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home!
When many people seek care in our office they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:
Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible
Offer ways patients can participate in their recovery
Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care
We encourage our patients to achieve the highest levels of health. Through educational opportunities, we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our patients abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health. In other words, patients who wait for signs of sickness or symptoms before taking action to health care. Wellness care focuses on identifying stressors that can be addressed before pain or illness.
You’re the Boss
Regardless of your health goals, we want to aid you in achieving true health and wellness. You are the driving force. It’s your body, your health, and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic care possible. We offer guidance that can help you live a healthier and happier life.
